Hello, My name is Yalan. I play bass. Solo Bass. My shit is classified as Sad Bastard Music Im a Leo that loves to sing and would be stoked if you asked me to sing on your album if you're rad.

Im the not head talent buyer of the Knitting Factory NY. After 3 and 1/2 years of being there they decided to go corporate...that never really happened did it? I guess it was just the old president Jared Hoffman. But now that he's gone, I will be working on festivals as Yalan Papillons and Knitting Factory Presents. More to come on this.

My Brooklyn home base is Glasslands, a cozy 200 cap art space in Williamsburg. I used to book the Black Cat in DC for 4 years with good ole Dante and before that ...started booking shows in my basement back in Ohio. Yes, it's me...you probably stayed at my crazy 8 bedroom house in Columbus back in the day. New York - by way of DC and Columbus - Yalan Papillons is best known for booking incredible artists and supporting them from obscurity to fame. A musician herself, Yalan has accrued a legacy of relationships that reach deeper than any business-type.

Her music background begins in Ohio where she housed bands in Columbus and booked basement shows. This parlayed into touring the nation with her own band. And proving continued success in cultivating an avid fanbase, she proceeded to draw bands and audiences of a higher caliber to Black Cat in DC, Knitting Factory NY, Studio B and her penultimate venue Santos Party House. In each location, Yalan breathed new life into every club and developed a brand name for these companies.

Hence forth she will export bands to Asia and plan events and festivals as Yalan Papillons Presents alongside the nationally established Knitting Factory Presents.
